‘Delay in execution work would not be tolerated’

The Minister for Education, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari today held a detailed review of various developmental works undertaken for the upgradation of Education Department infra under various schemes in Kashmir division. Director School Education Kashmir, Dr G.N Itoo, senior officials from JK Housing Board, Police Housing Corporation and officials from construction wing of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan were present in the meeting. Enquiring about the status of ongoing construction works being executed by various agencies under various schemes, the Minister impressed to complete all the projects in the time bound manner, adding any unwarranted delay would not be tolerated. Assuring that the money for the developmental works will be released as per scheduled time-frame. Stressing on maintaining the quality of execution of works, the Minister called for judicious use of funds and strict adherence to deadlines. Stressing on the need to implement the construction works on the modern lines, Bukhari asked the officials to come up with the model design for an auditorium which will be replicated for the construction of other auditoriums at different educational institutions.
